Take a look at Grand Marais past... and Grand Marais present!  We'll be updating this page from time to time with old photos of Grand Marais and how it looks at present from approximately the same vantage point.

Hill Into Town 
This picture was obviously taken coming down the hill into town, but when?  A close-up of the postcard shows the doors of the lifeboat building at the old Life Saving Station, so it must have been taken before that was torn down in the 1940s.

Have a look at the road now.  Note how those trees blocking the view are all exactly the same height, too!
