Hill Into Town
This picture was obviously taken coming down the hill
into town, but when? A close-up of the postcard shows the doors of the
lifeboat building at the old Life Saving Station, so it must have been taken
before that was torn down in the 1940s.

Times have changed!
Have a look at the road now. Note how those trees blocking the view
